It was back when selectors didn't work as seamless
As our first project together, Stäubli challenged us to rethink their MC4 Selector. The original filter-based system allowed users to skip mandatory steps, leading to incomplete configurations and frustrating technical resets that stalled the sales process.
Then, things began to change when Dieter said the word "Showpad"
BBC re-engineered the tool from the ground up into a "guided process" experience. We focused on making the complex simple, ensuring users only see results once all technical criteria are met.
- We added visual indicators and a logical flow so users always know where they are in the selection journey.
- Our team clarified the technical logic by renaming confusing terms and integrating helpful tooltips for MOQs.
- We expanded the PDF functionality to include generated part codes for both MC4 and EVO, creating a ready-to-use configuration.
We should ask Stäubli's global sales team
The tool was really meant for them, so who better to talk about the results? Though we can share what we already heard:
- The new guided workflow ensures 100% accuracy in part selection by preventing any missed data points.
- The enhanced PDF output now serves as a professional bridge between the digital experience and the final order.
- The tool successfully translates Stäubli's technical excellence into a seamless digital tool.
